Itkupilli challenged us at Collage Obsession to use the vintage photo she provided, and/or express the word, “jewelry”, in our artwork. I started with an Yves Saint Laurent jewelry ad, and this is what I created:
Here is a view of it laying flat:
Then, I decided to add some textured 12x12 scrapbook paper. My husband thinks it looks like Victorian wallpaper. I agree.
Angled/view:
Here are some details about the collage:
- It consists of 3-layered transparencies – (1) YSL pearl necklace ad (from InStyle magazine), (2) Text in left column (written by me), and the vintage photo.
- Cuff bracelet was cut from magazine ad, and sandwiched between 2 transparencies.
- Rhinestone flower brad on cuff holds sheets together.
- Typewriter keys spell “v-i-x-e-n”.
- Glitter photo corners by Martha Stewart Crafts.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Have an excellent day!
