Has your life ever felt like a crazy carnival? Mine has! Rick challenged us at Collage Obsession to use the vintage photo of “Luigi”, and add him to a “Carnival Pazzo” atmosphere. Carnival Pazzo means crazy carnival.
I must confess that while I have a crush on Luigi, I had to decapitate him for this challenge. Ha, ha, ha!
Here is my scrapbook layout:
(for larger views, click on photos)
Here is a closeup of his lonely, floating head:
And his abandoned torso:
(the string tied around his arm is his only hope of keeping his head...)
Luigi in the sunlight:
Here are some more details about the piece:
- Newspaper headline & L-u-i-g-i letters are edged with Tea Dye Distress Ink (Tim Holtz)
- Luigi’s head is popped up with pop dots (All Night Media) for dimension, and he is in a “balloon” that is encircled with silver glitter glue (Stickles)
- I made small cuts on both sides of his arm and tied string through them.
Thank you for stopping by my Carnival Pazzo. Come again soon. It’s open 24 hours, 7 days a week…
