Mothers & Other Loves

Happy Mother's Day! I think this painting by William Bouguereau called "Charity"says it all:

Mothers are God's gift to us on Earth. Here is one of my favorite photos of my Mother which sits on my dresser:

And here is a small tribute to her:

  • Going with the idea that mothers are "gifts" to us, I typed up different attributes of my Mom in different fonts (i.e. best friend, teacher, etc...), then printed them on cardstock.
  • I placed ribbon around the cardstock, as if it were tied around it like a gift. In place of a bow, I put my Mother's photograph. I'm so grateful for the gift of my Mother!
Thank you for stopping by to take a look. I hope your mother or someone special is nearby, so you can turn to them in good times & challenging ones.
Love to you and all the mothers out there!

God Bless & XOX

THANK YOU to everyone for leaving such lovely comments!

And Thank You, Sherry! Yes, I do feel lucky. My Mom has made such a positive difference in my life. She is truly special!!!!! (As all moms are who take their job seriously)

Our mom's/parent's words and actions have so much power : they can lift us up or tear us down. KUDOS to all the parents out there (biological or otherwise) that spend their time LIFTING US UP! GOD BLESS THEM!
